Autumn Break Time 8x10 oil on canvas. Another beautiful day, pumpkins washed off and piled up on the front porch. I'm not looking forward to the gutting process but the seeds are fab so worth the effort.

- Hello! I'm a Pacific Northwest artist persevering through our infamous rain, snow, sleet and hail, not to mention WIND! All the better now that I have my private studio just 30 yards or so from my back door. I enjoy painting still life and landscapes but also the occasional plein air escapade (weather permitting). These days I spend much of my time studying art through books, magazines, internet and other artists when I'm not at my easel. I tend to believe my artistic voice lends itself to impressionism, a likely result of the influence of Monet, Pissaro and Van Gogh. This gives my work a painterly look with visible brushstrokes and playful color. My subjects are modest and uncluttered. I'm quite happy composing my little stills and quiet landscapes.
